Choke Canyon
Choke Canyon Reservoir with 26,000 surface-acres, is one of the largest fresh water lakes in South Texas and is the site of many fishing tournaments throughout the year.
The state parks, that surround the reservoir, are noted for its wildlife including white tailed deer, javelina, wild turkey and even alligators. Some of the largest big mouth bass caught in Texas have been reeled in at Choke Canyon. For more information on fishing guides and more call Three Rivers Chamber of Commerce at (361)786-4330.
There are excellent camping facilities at Choke Canyon including cabins and motor home and RV hookups. Just outside the park are a variety of accommodations and restaurants. The entrances to the lake are four (South Shore Unit) and ten miles (Calliham Unit) from Three Rivers.
Choke Canyon State Park, consisting of two units, South Shore and Calliham, is located on the 26,000-acre Choke Canyon Reservoir, a water supply for Corpus Christi. The park was acquired in 1981 in a 50-year cooperative agreement between the Bureau of Reclamation, the city of Corpus Christi and the Nueces River Authority.

Three Rivers City Pool
Three Rivers City Pool is located at 507 N. School Road just a short walk from Kopplin Park and the North Live Oak Little League Field. The pool provides a great place to beat the South Texas heat. We are pleased to have some of the finest life guards on deck. The pool can also be reserved for private celebrations. The Three Rivers Boys & Girls Club and the Karnes City Independent School District Ace Program are among several groups that frequent the pool during the summer months.
